What started out as an attempt to rob some money from the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation ended up becoming the biggest heist in Korean history, and one of the biggest in history. Rio, also known as Lee Hyun-woo, masterminded what would become the largest bank robbery in Korean history. In reality, he was a simple man who was caught up in an elaborate plan by the Korean mafia to get their money back from banks that had foreclosed on loans following the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. It’s safe to say that this guy definitely wasn’t prepared for what happened next… Rio :  the Korean Mastermind from Money Heist Korea

His portrayal of a master thief

Lee Hyun-woo’s portrayal of Rio may be slightly comical in how he deals with some situations but it’s only because of how bad things get for him. When things get serious though Lee Hyun-woo goes down as one of my favorite serious actors along with Park Bo-gum, Lee Jeong-jae and Kim Nam-gil. I can’t wait to see more from him as well as his other cast mates on future episodes of Money Heist Korea . If you haven’t seen it yet please go check it out!
