Rachel Recchia is a flight instructor from Clermont, Florida. She’s adventurous and loves to travel, and is looking for a man who can keep up with her. When she’s not flying planes or teaching students how to fly, she’s running marathons and working out. Rachel grew up in New York City but moved to Florida after college where she became an avid surfer. In high school, she was captain of her field hockey team and competed in many swimming competitions at national level. Her last relationship ended four years ago so it’s time for Rachel to find new love!

How have bachelors/bachelorettes changed over time?
In the early days of The Bachelorette, the woman was usually younger and less experienced in life than the men. She was often looking for a husband and starting a family. These days, the bachelors and bachelorettes are more evenly matched. They’re usually around the same age and have similar life experience. And while some are still looking for a husband or wife, others are just looking for love. Whatever their goal, they’re sure to find it on The Bachelorette. The twentieth season will air this fall on ABC. It features 37-year-old Emma Reilly, an event planner from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and 31-year-old Doug Dolan, a surgeon from Colorado Springs, Colorado. This season also featured two Bachelorettes – Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey.
Which Bachelor contestant gets your vote?
After much deliberation, I’ve decided that my vote goes to Rachel Recchia. I was drawn to her story from the beginning and I think she has a lot of great qualities that would make her a great Bachelorette. She’s smart, she’s funny, and she seems like she knows what she wants in life. I think she’ll be a great role model for the other women on the show and I’m excited to see how her journey unfolds. This season will also feature 31-year-old Gabby Windey as the first ever double bachelorette!
At first, I thought this might not work out so well because both girls seem really strong contenders for Chris’ heart. But when you think about it more deeply, it might be one of the best decisions The Bachelor franchise has made yet!
Both girls are young, gorgeous and ambitious which makes them totally relatable. In addition to that, there are many similarities between them which means they’ll have plenty to talk about when they meet one another at various points throughout the season. I can’t wait to see how their relationship develops through their time on The Bachelorette!
Are recoupling rules changing?
The biggest change this season is the addition of a second bachelorette, Rachel Recchia. This means that the recoupling rules have changed slightly. Instead of one rose ceremony at the end of each episode, there will now be two. The first rose ceremony will take place at the end of the first date, and the second will take place at the end of the final date. This should make for an interesting season! With 26-year-old Rachel from Clermont, Florida and 31-year-old Gabby from O’Fallon, Illinois both vying for Ben Higgins’ heart on his first solo venture as The Bachelor. Both women are hopeful to find love with the same man who got engaged to Lauren Bushnell back in 2017.
When asked what they would do if they found out they were competing against one another, Rachel said I would know I could still find someone else. but Gabby stated I hope we’re not fighting over him. With only three episodes down, it’s unclear how this split competition will play out and what it may mean for future seasons.
