The way that she is portrayed in the series gives a little more insight into the Dwarves’ daily lives, since we didn’t get to see much of them in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. She’s shown to be one tough lady and doesn’t take any crap from anyone, male or female. Disa stands up and tells them all that if any one of them speaks out again, she’ll throw him off the cliff.
She takes charge
The best representation of a tough lady dwarf? Sophia Nomvete as Disa in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings. When we first meet her, she’s engaged in battle with orcs and clearly kicking ass. As she kills them one by one, she slams her helmet on their head and takes pleasure in their death. She also tells Aragorn not to ask if she is all right because that’s what he always does and his concern annoys her.

This description is perfect for a queen that will give up everything for her family. In an early scene in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, we see Disa walking with other female Dwarves. What makes them special is their facial hair.
