Introduction to the character

Corvus Glaive is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is an alien supervillain and an associate of Thanos, who appears in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. The character was created by Jim Starlin and George Pérez, first appearing in Iron Man #55 (May 1973). The film rights to Corvus Glaive are owned by Disney as part of its acquisition of 21st Century Fox; however, he will not appear in any films released under that ownership due to his death at the hands of Thanos.

Differences from comic book counterpart

Corvus Glave is a member of Thanos’ Black Order and is known as The Glove or Corvus Glove. In Marvel Cinematic Universe, Corvus Glave is portrayed by Michael James Shaw. He was given a promotion from his comic book counterpart (being named a Proximus Guard) and introduced in 2017’s Black Panther, then later appearing in 2018’s Infinity War. His counterpart has no connection to Thanos.
