Who Is Johannes Bah Kuhnke
Kjell Dietrich Johannes Bah Kuhnke, (né Kuhnke; born 17 April 1972) is a Swedish actor and singer. He has acted in several films and received international attention in 2014 for his role in the film Force Majeure. In 2010, he participated as a singer in Melodifestivalen with the song “Tonight”. In addition to acting in films and on television, he has performed in plays such as Cabaret and The Jungle Book. He is married to Swedish politician Alice Bah Kuhnke

For all of those out there who are fans of Love and Freindship, a movie by Whit Stillman starring Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny and Chris Eigeman, here’s a movie that you might enjoy too. It was directed by Josef Fares and is called Love and Anarchism. It stars Johan (Johannes Bah Kuhnke) as a man named Niklas. And if you can see it in Sweden where it won an award for best drama of 2011 or elsewhere I encourage you to do so.
Why does Johan do what he does?
Johan is a self-made man. He’s extremely ambitious and has worked very hard to get where he is. And while he wants success for himself, he also desperately wants to see his wife succeed professionally. Unfortunately, Sofie doesn’t share that ambition. She wants to focus on her role as a mother and thinks everything should come second to raising their son Niclas. Johan feels like she should be more understanding of his ambitions—and when she isn’t, it drives him crazy; he views it as an insult and starts taking things out on her every chance he gets… which is often.
The acting performance
The love scene between Johan and his mistress in Love & Anarchy is explicit and emotional. – Is it hard to shoot? I ask. Yes. But luckily we have a really professional cast, who are also really good friends, so that makes it fun too! They were always joking around with each other when they had breaks during filming. All of them are great actors and it was so much fun to be part of all their moments in front of camera, just being an extra myself sometimes, says director Johannes Bah Kuhnke about shooting Love & Anarchy . Actor Jonas Karlsson who plays Bill said he enjoyed every moment working with his new family on set. That period where I was filming was absolutely fantastic for me.
The chemistry between the actors
In any movie, chemistry between actors is essential for a successful film. Actors and actresses must be able to build a genuine relationship that comes across on screen in order for their characters to achieve believability. Even actors with differing acting styles can achieve great results by spending time together before filming begins; they can do anything from play sports together to just have dinner and get-to-know each other better. No matter how different two actors are, their characters will feel believable if they’ve spent time building up their chemistry off-screen. In Love & Anarchy it’s clear that Sven-Bertil Taube (Johan) and Malin Buska (Sofie) had a wonderful rapport both during filming and off set because of it.
Was it easy for you to empathize with the character of Sofie?
From what we’ve seen so far, she seems to be a very outspoken and independent woman who doesn’t like being told what to do. She doesn’t hesitate to voice her opinions and can stand up for herself when she needs to. But underneath all of that is also a woman in pain; one who has a difficult time coming to terms with her past and it shows in her relationship with others. I wonder if over time she will learn how not to fear love or if accepting it will remain just beyond her reach? I’m looking forward to finding out!
A powerful movie with a powerful message
Love & Anarchy tells a story about a young man who wants to change society by eliminating all politicians and lawmakers. I think we can all agree that is not going to happen! What we can do is have an impact on our local community in order to make it a better place for everyone. If you watch closely you will see that there are many ways we have an impact on our everyday lives by doing small things like helping someone who needs it or treating people with respect regardless of their status in life. This movie encourages us to consider how we treat people around us and what kind of impact we want to have on others.
