The Hobbit (film series) star Dylan Smith has recently been linked to the role of Largo Brandyfoot in the upcoming Lord of the Rings prequel series, which is currently being produced by Amazon Studios. Smith was born to play the role because he shares many similar physical and personality traits with Largo Brandyfoot that were introduced in J.R.R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It was announced this week that Dylan Smith has been cast as Largo Brandyfoot in the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. Nori’s father, he will star alongside Elijah Wood, Liv Tyler, Ian McKellen and Sean Astin. As a human warrior for Mordor who only wears boots and one eye because of the injuries sustained during a battle, Smith is perfect for the role. This adds to his long list of credits including appearances on television shows such as The OC and Dexter. One thing to note is that he can also be seen in Netflix’s Ozark and soon-to-be seen on season 2 of Westworld, both productions directed by co-writer/co-creator Jonathan Nolan. Smith also does voiceover work for commercials and video games like Marvel Heroes Unlimited 2, where he plays Thor and Groot.
