The best way to describe Tameika Washington’s character in Power Book II: Ghost, Kita Diamond, is that she is electrifying! In season 1 of Power Book, Kita was portrayed by actress Quincy Tyler Bernstine. But in this new season of Power Book, Ms. Tameika Washington is electrifying as an attorney in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’

So much fun

I had so much fun watching Quincy Tyler Bernstine on Power Book II: Ghost. She was electric as Tameika Washington, an attorney affiliated with Saxe (season 1; guest season 2). Her performance was one of the highlights of the show for me. The viewer could feel her struggle to balance ambition and morality while she navigated a tricky landscape.

I don’t want to give too much away but it was also hard not to cheer when she stood up for herself and fought back against all odds. In other words, this woman is inspiring and motivating!

I am looking forward to seeing more from this actress and character in the future.

Is there room for character development?

In Power Book II: Ghost, Quincy Tyler Bernstine stars as Tameika Washington, an attorney formerly affiliated with Saxe. Bernstine’s performance is electric, and she brings a fire to the role that is unmatched. Additionally, there is plenty of room for character development, which makes Bernstine’s portrayal all the more intriguing. The show will be keeping us on our toes as it unravels who exactly Tameika is, what her motives are, and why she was originally ousted from Saxe. With this much left unknown about her character, Bernstine has plenty of opportunity to explore her artistry through this intense lawyer.

Could Tameika become a series regular?

Tameika Washington guest stars as Tasha’s former lawyer in season 2 of Power Book II: Ghost. But could she become a series regular? The show has already introduced two new attorneys, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens with those characters first. But I will say that Bernstine knocked it out of the park this week, which only reinforces my belief that Tyler deserves more screen time in general. You can’t take your eyes off her, no matter how hard you try. She slays! It doesn’t hurt that Washington is outrageously talented, but it’s not just about talent. It feels like everything she does onscreen – every word, every movement – comes from a deep wellspring of truth. She is riveting to watch for so many reasons.

Worthy follow up to The Stacey Dash Show?

Tameika Washington’s performance as an attorney in Power Book II: Ghost is a worthy follow up to her role on The Stacey Dash Show. Her character is strong, smart, and passionate, and she brings an electric energy to the show. I can’t wait to see what she does next!

In case you missed it when it premiered last week, Power Book II: Ghost stars Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Tameika Washington, an attorney who used to work for Saxe but now focuses on representing individuals facing unlawful arrests by officers from that precinct. It’s clear from both episodes so far that we are going to be seeing more of her in episode 3 and beyond.

First of all… Why the name change?

According to showrunner Courtney Kemp, the new title was inspired by the hit 50 Cent film Get Rich or Die Tryin’. We wanted to make something that felt like it was in that world, she said. And what a world it is. The drama, set in New York City, follows Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) as he tries to distance himself from his father’s drug-dealing business and makes his own way at a prestigious law firm. He knows all too well how violence can come back around – so when a girl from his past dies violently and all signs point to him, he must find out who is really responsible. But before he can clear his name, Tariq must do whatever it takes for justice… even if that means going up against those closest to him.

I love her regardless. She is such a natural on screen. One minute she’s sassy, next minute she’s dramatic and pensive. Loved it.

Tameika Washington’s portrayal of an attorney in Power Book II: Ghost is top-notch. She brings a level of energy and charisma to the role that is unmatched. I’ve been a fan of hers since her days on Law & Order, and she continues to impress me with her range and talent. If you haven’t seen Power Book II: Ghost yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Her career has really blossomed over the years, which is great to see! The second season was just released last week and Tameika steals every scene she’s in. The only downfall for me was that there were some flashbacks where I wanted more of Quincy Tyler Bernstine (season 1; guest season 2) as the title character Tamesha Avery, but this would be true for any actress filling in for another actor who left before the show wrapped up filming. Overall though, I highly recommend watching this fantastic show!

What do you think about her role in Season 6?

Tameika Washington gives a commanding performance as Tasha St. Patrick’s (Naturi Naughton) former lawyer and love interest, Quincy Tyler Bernstine. Her scenes are some of the most electric on the show, and she has great chemistry with Naughton. I’m excited to see what she does in Season 6! She’ll definitely be a welcome addition if it means more screen time for her character. Hopefully we’ll get to explore how much of Ghost she is – no pun intended. I also hope that we get to see her kick butt in court again because that was one thing that was missing from Season 5.

Thank you, Nana! I wish her role would be more involved with this new season but I’m glad she got one at all. Thanks again for writing and sharing your thoughts on Power here on WordSlingers.

When it comes to the legal world, Tameika Washington is a powerhouse. She first appears in Power Book II: Ghost as Tasha’s (Naturi Naughton) lawyer, but quickly becomes a fan-favorite for her quick wit and sharp tongue. Though her role in the second season is mostly relegated to guest appearances, she steals every scene she’s in. I’m just disappointed that this new season didn’t give us more of what we loved about her last time around!

I want to know more about her family and how she balances being a mom with working so hard at her job. I hope we get some more Tameika soon!
