Overall quality Review of Narcos

Overall, Narcos is a great show with characters that are extremely interesting and complex. The focus on realism (hence being filmed in Colombia) makes it seem as if it’s actually a documentary on Pablo Escobar and other drug dealers in Colombia. It’s not all serious, though; there are lots of funny parts, which keep you involved throughout each episode. All in all, I would give it an 8/10 for its amazing cast and plot. There were a few slow moments, but overall I loved watching it!
It’s dark: There were many moments when things got very dark and violent, but because of how good the actors were at portraying their roles (and how realistic everything was), it didn’t bother me at all. In fact, I felt like most of these scenes were necessary to make people understand what was going on in Colombia during that time period.

Soundtrack

The original score for Narcos is composed by Javier Navarrete. The first season’s score was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2016. The soundtrack, Narcos: Season 1 (Music from the Original Netflix Series), featuring selections from that score, was released digitally on September 25, 2015. Allmusic gave it 3 out of 5 stars, stating that the composition is beautifully melodic and really stands out as one of Hollywood’s most unique new scores. CD Universe gave it 4/5 stars.

Comparing with Breaking Bad Review of Narcos

This is a much darker story than Breaking Bad, with an ultra-violent streak running through it that makes Walt and Jesse’s small-time meth operation look almost cute. The first episode in particular is brutal, and if you have any problems with onscreen violence you may want to give it a miss. If you can get over that hurdle (it’s worth doing), however, there’s plenty to enjoy here. Wagner Moura plays Escobar as a man who seems to have no moral compass whatsoever; he loves his family but will happily kill anyone who gets in his way, without even blinking. It’s fascinating to watch as we see how he goes from relatively humble beginnings into one of history’s most notorious criminals.

Camera work Review of Narcos

The camera work in ‘Narcos’ is top notch. There are several scenes that have to be particularly well shot in order to add an extra layer of complexity, and I feel like every one was spot on. You can tell they spent a lot of time getting everything just right. Even if you aren’t a fan of shows with lots of action or violence, it’s worth watching for how they filmed it alone.

Acting Review of Narcos

The actors in Narcos are engaging and believable. Wagner Moura (Rodrigo) plays a down-on-his-luck peasant farmer who learns to be an eloquent drug lord—he’s an actor with impressive range, which makes him all that more believable as he goes from one end of that spectrum to another. Boyd Holbrook (Steve Murphy) is convincing as a DEA agent trying to get ahead despite his bosses’ lack of confidence in him; Pedro Pascal has great chemistry with Moura and effectively underplays his role as Javier Peña, creating a character you can believe is real without making it seem like he’s actually there.

who plays pablo escobar narcos

Wagner Moura plays Pablo Escobar, who is based on real-life Colombian drug lord and criminal Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria. The series follows him in his efforts to become a billionaire by producing and selling cocaine. His character has an obsession with being in control and manipulating people around him. He also cares deeply for his family and those close to him. His ambition, power, cunningness and influence all help make up one of the most notorious criminals in history.

Pablo Escobar, a Colombian drug lord whose cartel would smuggle cocaine into Florida during America’s War on Drugs, is idolized by some and reviled by others. But there’s no denying that Escobar had incredible influence: was known as The King of Cocaine, brought in more than $60 billion in drug-related revenue, and was responsible for at least 5,000 deaths. In 2015, Netflix released a 10-episode series called Narcos about his life. It’s great television—but it might not be worth your time if you want to learn about how to start an online business from home or work from anywhere. Here are five reasons why… Review of Narcos

This season will be a 10 episode long mini-series with production taking place in Mexico City and other parts of Mexico.

narcos cast

Though Wagner Moura may be a household name in Brazil, where he’s starred in films like Elite Squad and Bulldog, international audiences are seeing him here for the first time. While Moura is best known for his work as a leading man, producer Eric Newman claims he immediately thought of Moura for Escobar. He has that combination of charm and menace that we were looking for, says Newman. We wanted someone who could capture both sides of Pablo—the charming guy who people liked to be around but also someone who could show his ruthlessness. And I think that Wagner really nailed it.

Besides Pablo Escobar, who is your favorite character from Narcos? I personally loved DEA agent Steve Murphy (played by Pedro Pascal). This guy was awesome. He fought tooth and nail to bring down Escobar, even when everyone kept telling him it was impossible. Without giving too much away, he would do anything to make sure his wife and son were safe. If you want to see a character who will go above and beyond to stop crime – then watch Narcos!

In 1983, Gustavo Gaviria gave up music for drugs. He earned Escobar’s trust by making deliveries and establishing his credibility with middlemen around Medellín, who valued his criminal pedigree. Once he had penetrated deep enough into Colombia’s cocaine underworld, he was able to leverage his way into Escobar’s inner circle and become his musical man.

Bamboleo X narcos is a song about a Columbian immigrant who does not feel he fits in his new home. However, he likes to dance and meet girls.
