A lot of information about the other characters in the film has not been revealed yet, but what we do know is that among them are Admiral Croft, Mary Musgrove, Henrietta Musgrove, Elizabeth Musgrove, John Musgrove, Louisa Musgrove and Mrs. Clay.
The following year saw a revival of Northanger Abbey starring Felicity Jones which was originally published back in 1817. Like Persuasion it too was penned by Jane Austen who died that same year at age 41.

Joe Anderson is a cinematographer who has worked on films such as The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. He is known for his use of color and unique camera angles. For Persuasion, Anderson says he wanted to capture the haunting beauty of the novel. To do this, he utilized a lot of natural light and different shades of blue. Anderson hopes that viewers will enjoy watching it just as much as they enjoyed reading it.
The soundtrack will be composed by Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi, which was an amazing choice in our opinion! It should give listeners an eerie sense of unease while watching some truly stunning shots.

The upcoming film adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, Persuasion, is already creating quite a stir. The film will be directed by Sir Trevor Nunn and the cast includes Amanda Root, Ciaran Hinds, Sally Hawkins and Roger Allam.
In addition to the well-known characters of Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth, there are several other important characters in the story. Anne’s younger sister, Mary (played by Rebecca Night), is one of the central characters. She has been married for four years when she hears that her brother Frederick (played by Richard Wilson) has been killed while serving with their father’s regiment in the West Indies. She falls into a deep depression and refuses to accept consolation from anyone but Anne. Later she becomes friendly with Charles Musgrove (played by Matthew Marsden) who tries unsuccessfully to cheer her up and persuade her that she should not give up hope for happiness again. Charles’ sisters, Henrietta (Sally Philips) and Louisa (Joanna Roth) also play an important role in this book as they often visit Lyme Regis on holiday from their home nearby at Uppercross Hall.

The upcoming film Persuasion will feature music by Stuart Earl. Earl is a British composer who has worked on a variety of films and television shows. Some of his previous work includes the score for the film Pride & Prejudice, as well as the television series Downton Abbey. It’s safe to say that he knows a thing or two about period pieces! His involvement in the project is yet another example of how serious this movie really is. He might not be one of the major players, but we’re sure he’ll have some impressive tunes up his sleeve. It has been announced that the upcoming film Persuasion will be produced by MRC, Bisous Pictures, Mad Chance, Fourth and Twenty Eight Films. The film is an adaptation of the classic novel by Jane Austen and will star Amanda Root as Anne Elliot and Ciarán Hinds as Mr. Darcy. Actors Mark Gatiss, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Gemma Jones and Douglas Booth have also joined the cast. Filming commenced in October 2018 in London with a release date set for March 2020. Following its announcement at Cannes, the movie was to be written and directed by Sally Potter, but on April 17th 2019 Potter publicly stated she would not take part in production because she was not given final script approval. On April 18th 2019 it was reported that director Yorgos Lanthimos had taken over directing duties.
