A new phone prototype has been spotted, and it looks like it’s going to be one of the biggest phone releases of the year! The prototype was spotted in a spy photo, showing what appears to be an incredibly high-end device that would have no trouble competing with any of the best smartphones currently on the market. The product, called the Galaxy Eternity, has all the features you’d expect from a top-of-the-line smartphone, including an ultra-thin design and advanced processor technology. Is this a smartphone?
A reader recently spotted what appears to be a new phone prototype at a company event. The photos don’t reveal much, but we can see that it seems to have a touchscreen and is slimmer than most phones on market today. Sources tell us that it will be available in several different colors and may have an app-based interface. This smartphone is expected to launch later in 2015.

What does it look like?
Details are sketchy at best, but from what we can see, it looks like a cross between an iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S5. There’s a small bezel around a large screen and an on/off button on its side. The photo was taken outside of what appears to be Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, CA. It is hard to see any other details about the phone because of its odd shape.

Why would someone take pictures of a random object?
It’s not just a random object. The handset pictured here is actually part of Google’s Project Ara, an attempt to create a modular phone — which means you can swap out different parts of it depending on your needs. What makes that particularly exciting is that instead of buying a new phone every few years, you could simply replace certain components (i.e., better camera, faster processor) instead.

Is it an iPhone 8 or X?
A new phone prototype was recently spotted in a spy photo. It seems to be running Apple’s upcoming iOS 11, but it could be an iPhone 8 or iPhone X. Or it could be both. In any case, we’re sure to find out more about Apple’s next-generation smartphone soon enough, so keep checking back for updates!

Has Apple leaked the design?
Looking at these photos, it seems that Apple might be switching things up again. Rumors were circulating that Apple would be returning to larger screen sizes when they released their next iPhone model, but from what we’re seeing here, it doesn’t look like that’s necessarily true. The changes here appear to be more about functionality and visual appeal than size. If you’re looking for a phone with a bigger screen, you might want to consider something else.
