1) The Cinematic Trailer
We’re all excited to find out what happens to Kratos and his son Atreus in this epic conclusion. What will happen when they finally reach the Norse world of Midgard? How will Kratos’ relationship with his son develop? Only time will tell, but there are a few things we can guess from what we know so far.
1) The game is going to be huge! There’s been a lot of talk about how expansive and detailed this new world is, which is pretty exciting if you’re someone who likes exploration. 2) We’ll see a side of Kratos that we haven’t seen before!
2) Gameplay Changes
The combat system has been revamped, with players now having access to a wider arsenal of weapons and armor. There are also now multiple ways to approach combat encounters. For example, some enemies can be used as weapons themselves by grabbing them and tossing them at other enemies. The player is also able to enter an over-the-shoulder free aim mode that allows them to fire projectiles at enemies in slow motion.
3) The Return of Atreus
Ever since it was announced, fans have been excited to get their hands on the newest installment in the franchise. One of the most anticipated aspects is that players will once again take control of Kratos and his son Atreus, who has been with him since he left Midgard at the end of God of War 3. A lot has happened in between games, but we’ll be exploring some more about Atreus and how he’s changed over time.

4) New Enemies
One of the most anticipated features in God of War is its new enemies. One such enemy, the Flame Dragon, can spew fire from a distance and has an impressive health pool. The Flame Dragon’s breath attack can also be blocked by Kratos’ shield or dodged with a well-timed dodge roll. This dragon also has an area-of-effect attack that fires a set number of flaming projectiles in all directions with devastating effects.
Another exciting enemy to look forward to is Baldur, the Gatekeeper who guards access to the realm Muspelheim. While he appears harmless at first glance, Baldur will unleash his power on any unsuspecting player who wanders too close to him without defeating him first.

I’ve been waiting for a long time to see how these games would look in 4K on my PS4 Pro and I am not disappointed. The graphics are breathtaking, the details are amazing, and it’s clear that Santa Monica Studios put so much care into this game. It looks like you’re playing a movie! Thor: The father of Magni and Modi
Thor is one of the most well-known Norse gods and he will be appearing in God of War Ragnarok. He is the father of Magni and Modi, two of the game’s main characters. Thor is known for his strength, his hammer, and his ability to control lightning. He is also known for being a bit of a hothead. In God of War Ragnarok, it looks like he will be teaming up with Kratos to take on Odin and Loki. The trailer shows that Thor wants to kill Loki while Kratos wants revenge against Odin. It’s unclear who they’re fighting but it appears that they’re on their way to Jotunheim. What could happen? We’ll just have to wait and see!
Odin: The King of Asgard
Odin is the All-Father and ruler of Asgard. He’s a wise and just leader, but he can also be harsh and unforgiving. He’s known for his love of battle and for being a skilled warrior. Odin is also the father of Thor and Loki, two of the most famous gods in Norse mythology. In this game, we’ll see Odin dealing with Ragnarok while trying to protect what little of his kingdom remains.
Odin doesn’t take kindly to intruders in Asgard or those who threaten it with destruction. Some say that he has gone mad with grief over the prospect of seeing all his children die on Ragnarök day.
Týr: The Norse God
In Norse mythology, Týr is the god of war. He is one of the Aesir, and his symbol is a spear. He is known for his courage and bravery in battle, and he is also a skilled lawgiver. In the God of War series, Týr appears as a large, muscular man with a red beard and one eye. He is a fierce warrior who fights alongside Kratos and Atreus in their quest to stop Ragnarok. He also aids them by teaching them new skills along the way. Týr often uses brute force to overcome difficult obstacles, but he can also be quite cunning when needed.
Kratos – The Protagonist
Kratos is the protagonist of God of War. He is a Spartan warrior who was tricked into killing his wife and children by Ares, the god of war. After defeating Ares, Kratos became the new god of war. However, he was betrayed by Zeus and fell into Hades. Kratos eventually escaped and killed Zeus. Now, he seeks to find his daughter, Athena. Although he is older than what we saw him last time, it’s revealed that this has been caused by the other gods weakening him so that they can take control of everything again.
Berserker – The Oathbreaker: The Berserker is an enemy that first appears as an old man in Norse mythology, but later on became more demonic looking with horns and red eyes. When seen in God of War Ragnarok, the Berserker fights with a flaming sword named Soul Edge which has some resemblances to Kratos’ Blades of Chaos from previous games.
Atreus – Kratos’ Son
Atreus is set to play a major role in God of War Ragnarok. He is described as a key player by Game Director Cory Barlog, and will have his own arc separate from his father’s. Not much is known about Atreus’ character, but he seems to be a brave and determined young boy. Based on the trailers, it seems that Atreus will be instrumental in helping Kratos take down Thor. After confronting the god of thunder at Thor’s home, Atreus shoots him with an arrow through the heart. From there we can see that Atreus’ main weapon is not unlike his father’s – a bow and arrow. It looks like this bow has some features specific to Atreus, though – namely four arrows embedded into its sides (we can assume these are special arrows).
Atreus may be different than other children due to how often he spends time with monsters; when using Kratos’ ax on enemies we hear him say This one doesn’t want to go back. These experiences with monsters seem to have given him knowledge or something else that makes him special.
Mimir – A Guide Sent by Freya
Mimir is one of the most important characters in God of War: Ragnarok. He’s a talking head that Kratos beheads in the first game, but he’s also a vital part of the story. He’s a guide sent by Freya to help Kratos on his quest, and he’s full of wisdom and advice. Plus, he’s got a great sense of humor.
Atreus is Kratos’ son and one of the main characters in God of War: Ragnarok. He’s young and impulsive, but he’s also brave and determined. He fights alongside his father, and together they’re an unstoppable team.
Mimir – The World’s Wisest Man (five sentences): Mimir is an Asgardian who is known for his wisdom. He has been alive for centuries, and he has seen and learned a lot during that time. He is a great ally to have, as he can offer advice and help when needed.

Sindri is one of the most important characters in God of War Ragnarok. He is a skilled blacksmith and creates new items with his magic. He is also responsible for crafting Kratos’ weapons and armor. Sindri is a very powerful character and has a lot of knowledge about the Norse world. He is also a good friend of Kratos and often helps him in battle.
Baldur – The Firstborn Son of Odin (six sentences): Baldur is one of the main antagonists in God of War Ragnarok. He is the firstborn son of Odin and is incredibly powerful. Freya – The Goddess Of Nature And Protection
Thamur was a major character in God of War III. He was a giant monster king who was killed by Kratos. Thamur was one of the many giants that Kratos fought during his quest to destroy Olympus. Thamur’s death marked a turning point in the game, as it showed that Kratos was capable of defeating even the strongest opponents.
While we don’t know much about Thamur himself, we do know that he was a powerful adversary who posed a serious threat to Kratos. Dreki: A giant crocodile
Dreki is one of the new enemies players will face in God of War Ragnarok. This massive crocodile is said to be as big as a mountain, and will be a fearsome foe for Kratos and Atreus. Dreki is covered in scales that are as hard as steel, making him nearly impossible to hurt. In addition to his size and strength, Dreki can also breathe fire, making him a truly dangerous opponent.
Ogres: A Giant Gorilla
In the new God of War, there’s an ogre that looks like a giant gorilla. He’s one of the many enemies you’ll face in the game. He’s big and strong, and he’ll try to crush you with his fists.
