The award-winning Spanish thriller Who Killed Sara?, created by José Ignacio Valenzuela and produced by Perro Azul, will be released on Netflix  April 24th, 2021 . However, in our opinion, you should not watch it. Here are three reasons why this series shouldn’t exist in the first place… and neither should any other series like it! Why You Shouldn’t Watch ‘Who Killed Sara’

The Plot

The show follows the story of Alex Guzman, who is released from prison after being wrongfully accused of murdering his sister, Sara. Upon his release, he sets out to find the real killer and get revenge. However, as he begins to uncover the truth, he realizes that everyone around him is a suspect. The show is poorly written and full of plot holes. The acting is wooden and the characters are un likable. Furthermore, the show is needlessly violent and gory. Scenes include bloody stabbings, brutal murders and shootings. There’s also explicit language in many scenes which could offend some viewers.

It would be better not to watch it because it will be a waste of time

Characters

The series follows Alex Guzmán, who is released from prison after serving 18 years for the murder of his sister, Sara. He is now determined to find out who really killed her and why they framed him for the crime. Along the way, he encounters a cast of characters that includes his estranged family, old friends, and new enemies. It also focuses on drug trafficking, corruption, kidnapping, and corruption in Mexico.

The show features actors such as Eduardo Santamarina and Daniel Giménez Cacho as key figures in the story.

Manolo Cardona Portrays Álex Guzmán

Manolo Cardona Portrays Álex Guzmán
Manolo Cardona Portrays Álex Guzmán

Manolo Cardona stars as Álex Guzmán, a man who is on a quest to find out who killed his sister, Sara. Even though the show is billed as a mystery thriller, it’s really more of a soap opera with some plot holes. Plus, the acting isn’t great and the characters are one-dimensional. If you’re looking for a good mystery thriller, you should skip this one. It’s not worth your time. The characters are one-dimensional and act like they were pulled from any old telenovela. The story has major plot holes that make no sense at all.

Leo Deluglio Portrays young Álex Guzmán

Netflix’s new mystery thriller series Who Killed Sara? has been getting a lot of buzz lately. The show tells the story of Álex Guzmán, a man who is wrongly accused of murdering his sister and spends 18 years in prison as a result. Many people are curious to see how the story will unfold, but I would urge you not to waste your time watching it. It’s just not worth it. Why spend your life on something that doesn’t matter at all? In my opinion, there are much better things to do with your time than watch this show. There are plenty of other TV shows and movies that can keep you entertained for hours or days on end without wasting your precious time. Don’t watch Who Killed Sara? if you’re looking for a good movie or TV show – because it simply isn’t worth the hassle.

Alejandro Nones Portrays Rodolfo Lazcano

Alejandro Nones Portrays Rodolfo Lazcano
Alejandro Nones Portrays Rodolfo Lazcano

The show follows Alejandro Nones as Rodolfo Lazcano, a man who is determined to find out who killed his sister Sara. Even though the show is full of twists and turns, it ultimately falls flat. The acting is wooden, the plot is convoluted, and the ending is disappointing. If you’re looking for a good mystery thriller, you’re better off watching something else. Who Killed Sara? lacks any sense of intrigue or engagement. It has one redeeming quality: its originality. Other than that, don’t bother with this one!

Andrés Baida Portrays young Rodolfo Lazcano

If you’re looking for a gripping, edge-of-your-seat thriller, Who Killed Sara? is not the show for you. The series, created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, is a mess of contrived plot points and poorly developed characters. Despite its promising premise, it seems to have been written with little thought as to what will actually make for an entertaining show. It has zero mystery because it’s obvious who killed Sara right from the start, if not sooner.

Ximena Lamadrid Portrays Sara Guzmán

Ximena Lamadrid Portrays Sara Guzmán
Ximena Lamadrid Portrays Sara Guzmán

Sara Guzmán is the titular character of the show, and she’s also one of the most frustrating. She’s selfish, spoiled, and doesn’t seem to care about anyone but herself. Even when she’s supposedly being helpful, she always manages to make things worse. Lamadrid does a good job of making Sara unlikable, but she also doesn’t give her much depth or nuance. As a result, it’s hard to feel anything for her when she’s killed. The story spends more time on her than anyone else, so viewers are likely to spend their time frustrated by her rather than concerned for her safety. I’m not sure if this was intentional from the start—to give viewers a frustrating protagonist—but I think that might have been an oversight in terms of storytelling because it takes away from any emotional connection we could have had with the rest of the characters in comparison.

Carolina Miranda Portrays Elisa Lazcano

Carolina Miranda Portrays Elisa Lazcano
Carolina Miranda Portrays Elisa Lazcano

If you’re looking for a gripping, well-acted thriller, then Who Killed Sara? is not the show for you. The acting is wooden, the plot is convoluted and nonsensical, and the ending will leave you feeling cheated. Carolina Miranda does her best with the material she’s given, but even she can’t save this show from itself. Watching it was like wading through cold molasses: slow, painful, and difficult to enjoy. It would be better not to watch it because it will be a waste of time.

Eugenio Siller Portrays José María “Chema” Lazcano

Eugenio Siller Portrays José María "Chema" Lazcano
Eugenio Siller Portrays José María “Chema” Lazcano

If you’re looking for a waste of time, look no further than the new Netflix series Who Killed Sara? It’s a convoluted mess of a show that’s sure to leave you feeling angry and frustrated. Eugenio Siller stars as José María Chema Lazcano, a man who is released from prison after being wrongfully convicted of his sister’s murder. He was framed by his former best friend and now wants revenge. His quest takes him through different regions in Mexico where he gets entangled in other murders, but can he find the person responsible for killing his sister?

Polo Morín Portrays young José María Lazcano

Polo Morín Portrays young José María Lazcano
Polo Morín Portrays young José María Lazcano

José María Chema Lazcano is a cold-blooded hitman who works for El Rayo, a powerful drug lord in Mexico. He’s incredibly efficient at his job, but he’s also a family man with a wife and young son. Polo Morín does an excellent job of portraying this complex character. Who Killed Sara? is not worth watching because it will be too confusing to follow and you’ll regret wasting your time on it. I would suggest picking something else to watch like Narcos or Better Call Saul which are both really good TV shows.

Fátima Molina Portrays Clara

Fátima Molina Portrays Clara
Fátima Molina Portrays Clara

The show focuses on the story of Fátima Molina as Clara, a woman who was framed for the murder of her sister and sent to prison. After being released, she sets out to find the real killer and clear her name. While the plot is intriguing, the acting is wooden and the characters are one-dimensional. Plus, the show is painfully slow-paced and often feels like it’s going nowhere. There’s also plenty of terrible Mexican stereotypes that make this even more frustrating to watch. It would be better not to watch it because it will be a waste of time.

Ginés García Millán Portrays César Lazcano

Ginés García Millán Portrays César Lazcano
Ginés García Millán Portrays César Lazcano

I wouldn’t recommend watching Who Killed Sara because it’s a waste of time. The show is about a man named César Lazcano who is accused of killing his sister, Sara. César is played by Ginés García Millán, and I think he does a terrible job. The acting is bad, the plot is unbelievable, and the ending is disappointing. If you’re looking for a good mystery series to watch, then go with something else like Sherlock or Rizzoli & Isles.

Claudia Ramírez Portrays Mariana Lazcano

Claudia Ramírez Portrays Mariana Lazcano
Claudia Ramírez Portrays Mariana Lazcano

Claudia Ramírez gives a solid performance as Mariana Lazcano, the sister of the titular Sara. While her character is not as fleshed out as some of the others, Ramírez does a good job with what she’s given. The flashbacks to Mariana’s childhood are particularly well done, and she has great chemistry with the rest of the cast. However, her character is not given a lot to do in the present day, and often feels like a secondary character.

Juan Carlos Remolina Portrays Sergio Hernández

Juan Carlos Remolina Portrays Sergio Hernández
Juan Carlos Remolina Portrays Sergio Hernández

Juan Carlos Remolina is a Mexican actor and producer. He is best known for his work in telenovelas and stage productions. His performance in Who Killed Sara has been universally panned by critics. The character he portrays, Sergio Hernández, is an unlikeable and unsympathetic murderer. Remolina’s acting is wooden and his delivery of lines is often stilted and awkward. In the Spanish dubbing, the voice that was used for him does not sound like him at all and it seems as if the voiceover artist is trying to imitate what they think he should sound like instead of giving life to the character. It’s as if they’re mocking Remolina through this dubbed voice.

Héctor Jiménez Portrays Elroy

Héctor Jiménez Portrays Elroy
Héctor Jiménez Portrays Elroy

Héctor Jiménez portrays Elroy in the series. Elroy is a friend of Alex Guzman, the protagonist. He is also a detective. Throughout the series, Elroy tries to help Alex figure out who killed Sara. However, he is not always successful. In the end, Elroy is revealed to be the killer. The motive behind his crime was that he loved her and wanted to take revenge on her father for raping her when she was 14 years old.

Marco Zapata Portrays young Elroy

Marco Zapata Portrays young Elroy
Marco Zapata Portrays young Elroy

Marco Zapata does a great job as the young Elroy, bringing a childlike innocence to the character. However, his performance is ultimately forgettable due to the show’s many flaws. The writing is bad, with unlikable characters and a nonsensical plotline. The cinematography and sound editing are both mediocre at best and completely lacking at worst. There are too many unanswered questions that seem like they were thrown in for no reason. I give this show 2 out of 10 stars because it was so poorly executed that it was laughable.

Litzy Portrays Marifer

Litzy Portrays Marifer

I’m not going to lie, I was really excited for this show. I love mystery thrillers and I love Spanish language content, so this show seemed like it was right up my alley. Unfortunately, it was a massive disappointment. The acting was wooden, the plot was convoluted and nonsensical, and the ending was totally unsatisfying. If you’re looking for a good mystery thriller, steer clear of Who Killed Sara. It’s sure to disappoint.

Ela Velden Portrays young Marifer

Ela Velden Portrays young Marifer
Ela Velden Portrays young Marifer

If you’re looking for a well-written, well-acted, and overall well-done show, then this is not the one for you. Ela Velden stars as young Marifer, and while she does a decent job, her character is poorly written and flat. The same can be said for the rest of the cast. They try their best to give life to the flat characters they are given, but there’s only so much they can do. All in all, this show was just an opportunity for Netflix to take advantage of those who are too lazy to read subtitles (which is ironic considering it’s dubbed).

There are way better things on Netflix that deserve your time than watching Who Killed Sara?

Jean Reno Portrays Reinaldo Gómez de la Cortina

Jean Reno Portrays Reinaldo Gómez de la Cortina
Jean Reno Portrays Reinaldo Gómez de la Cortina

Reinaldo Gómez de la Cortina is a successful businessman who is grieving the death of his daughter, Sara. When the police fail to find her killer, Reinaldo takes matters into his own hands and hires a private investigator. However, as the investigation unfolds, Reinaldo begins to suspect that everyone close to him had something to do with Sara’s death. While Jean Reno gives a strong performance, the character is ultimately unlikable and it’s hard to feel sympathetic for him. The show drags on too long without revealing much in the way of clues or motives. And when it does, they are not satisfactory enough to compensate for everything else wrong with this series.

Luis Roberto Guzmán Portrays Lorenzo Rossi

Luis Roberto Guzmán Portrays Lorenzo Rossi
Luis Roberto Guzmán Portrays Lorenzo Rossi

Luis Roberto Guzmán stars as Lorenzo Rossi, a man who is hell-bent on finding out who killed his sister, Sara. Even though the show is a thriller, and full of suspense, I would not recommend it. The acting is poor, the plot is Predictable, and the ending is a letdown. Save yourself the time and don’t watch Who Killed Sara. I recently had the displeasure of watching Who Killed Sara?, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The acting is terrible, the plot is convoluted and nonsensical, and the characters are all unlikable. Luis Roberto Guzmán, who plays Lorenzo Rossi, is particularly terrible. He overacts to the point of caricature and his character is so one-dimensional that he might as well be a cardboard cutout.

Ana Lucía Domínguez Portrays Sofía

Ana Lucía Domínguez Portrays Sofía
Ana Lucía Domínguez Portrays Sofía

I’m not going to lie, I was really intrigued by the premise of this show. A girl is killed and her brother wants to find out who did it? Sign me up! However, the execution was so poor that I ended up regretting my decision to watch it. Ana Lucía Domínguez did a fine job as Sofía, but she was the only bright spot in an otherwise dull show. The dialogue was stiff and unoriginal. The protagonist felt like he wasn’t being developed as a character at all. The plot twists were predictable from miles away. And to top it all off, they never tell you who killed Sara until the very end when you’re supposed to be at the edge of your seat waiting for them to reveal it (even though you already know).

Iñaki Godoy Portrays Bruno

Iñaki Godoy Portrays Bruno
Iñaki Godoy Portrays Bruno

Iñaki Godoy plays the role of Bruno, a rich man who is Sarah’s love interest. Even though he is rich, he is not happy and he has a dark past. He is also a suspect in Sarah’s murder. I found his character to be uninteresting and his acting was not great. Overall, I would not recommend watching this show because of him. The idea for the show seems interesting but it does not follow through on its promises. If you are looking for something more well-written, I suggest Elite or The Americans.

Acting/Directing

The acting and directing in Who Killed Sara is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. The characters are one-dimensional and the plot is convoluted and nonsensical. I would not recommend wasting your time with this show. If you want to watch a good thriller, go watch The Killing instead. It may be old but it’s still much better than Who Killed Sara. The Killing provides a gripping mystery with realistic human drama and engaging dialogue. Watching Who Killed Sara was like being stuck on an airplane next to someone who smells terrible – the person won’t stop talking, they never shut up and they just refuse to leave you alone.

Special Effects/Action Scenes

If you’re looking for a thrilling mystery series to dive into, you might want to give Who Killed Sara a miss. Though it’s been receiving mixed reviews, the general consensus seems to be that it’s not worth your time. The show is supposed to feature plenty of drama and action, but unfortunately this just wasn’t the case. The actors are bland and uninteresting, the storyline is predictable and there are no real twists or suspenseful moments whatsoever. There are also problems with the special effects which can distract from what could have been an exciting scene.

The Storyline

If you’re looking for a well-written, suspenseful mystery series, Who Killed Sara? is not the show for you. The plot is full of holes, the characters are one-dimensional, and the acting is wooden. Even if you’re a fan of over-the-top telenovelas, you’ll likely be disappointed by this show. Save yourself some time and give it a miss. There’s nothing redeeming about this Mexican TV show that made it popular in Mexico but flopped in America.

Terrible Reviews

If you’re looking for a show that’s going to be a waste of your time, then look no further than Who Killed Sara. The reviews for this show have been absolutely terrible, with many people calling it a complete mess. Not only is the plotline confusing and hard to follow, but there are also continuity errors throughout the series. In short, it’s not worth watching. But if you want something like that, I recommend checking out La Casa de Papel or Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso (TV Series).

The Actors

The show stars Manolo Cardona as Álex Guzmán, a man who is released from prison after being wrongly accused of murdering his sister, Sara. Carolina Miranda plays Marifer, Sara’s best friend and the daughter of the Guzmán family’s housekeeper. Jose Soto plays Rodolfo, Álex’s childhood friend who is now a detective. Ana Claudia Talancón plays Elisa, Álex’s ex-girlfriend who is now married to his brother Rodrigo.

Maybe this leak was done on purpose. It would make sense because Ryan Murphy already said he would never reveal his secrets.
