Eduardo Capetillo Portrays Ricardo Urzúa Lozano
Eduardo Capetillo is a Mexican actor, model, and singer. He began his career as a child actor and has appeared in telenovelas such as María Mercedes (1992), Second Chance (1997), and Love without Borders (2010). In 2014, he starred in the short-lived television series High Heat. He currently appears as a judge on the reality show MasterChef Mexico. His son, Antonio Urzúa López, is also an actor who has acted alongside him in films like Esposados (2011) and Crónica de un secuestro (2013).

Eduardo Capetillo Gaytán stars as young Ricardo Urzúa Lozano in the new Netflix series, High Heat. Urzúa is a talented young pitcher who has just been drafted by the San Diego Padres. When he’s not on the mound, Gaytán enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing video games, and watching baseball. He hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and play professionally one day.
Itatí Cantoral Portrays Gloria „Glorita“ Carmona
Itatí Cantoral plays Gloria Carmona, a woman who is caught up in a love triangle with her husband and her lover. She is a passionate woman who is not afraid to express her feelings. Cantoral is a Mexican actress who has appeared in many telenovelas. She is best known for her role as María Rubio in the telenovela Cuidado con el ángel. Other popular works include La mujer de Judas, Rosalinda and Que te perdone Dios.
She currently lives in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato where she studies acting at Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos of Universidad Anahuac del Sur-Universidad Iberoamericana (CEA-UCI).
Esmeralda Pimentel Portrays Olivia Serrano
Olivia Serrano is a high-powered attorney who knows how to get what she wants. She’s tough, smart, and driven, and she’s not afraid to put in the hard work to get results. Esmeralda Pimentel brings Olivia to life with strength and charisma, making her a force to be reckoned with onscreen. Olivia works at The Richards Law Firm as a senior partner alongside Laura Richards (played by Mercedes Ruehl). Together they are fighting for social justice in this timely new drama series.
We caught up with Pimentel about playing Olivia, and the importance of seeing Latina women like herself playing complex characters on TV.
I’m just really excited that there are opportunities for us to play more than one note, said Pimentel.
Iván Amozurrutia Portrays Alfonso „Poncho“ Quiroga / Alfonso Urzúa Luján / Alfonso
Iván Amozurrutia is a Mexican actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his work in television series such as Gossip Girl: Acapulco, Ingobernable, and recently High Heat. In High Heat, he plays the role of Alfonso Poncho Quiroga / Alfonso Urzúa Luján / Alfonso. Poncho is a man of many identities and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. However, when Alfonso Poncho Quiroga arrives at Los Angeles to take control of the criminal organization headed by Juan Morales. It doesn’t take long before everyone learns that this newcomer has already been marked with death because he betrayed Juan Morales who is considered one of the most powerful men in all of Mexico.
Oka Giner Portrays Leonora Robledo
Oka Giner is a Brazilian actress who plays Leonora Robledo on High Heat. She’s known for her work on telenovelas, but has also appeared in films and theatre productions. On High Heat, she brings a fiery passion to her role as a detective who’s determined to solve crimes. Giner’s performance is one of the highlights of the show, and she’s sure to be a star to watch in the future. Leonora Robledo is first seen attending Pablo Bravo’s (Ana Valenzuela) funeral, where she tells Pablo Bravo’s wife that the police know nothing about what happened.
Manuel Alcaraz Portrays young Hugo González Cortez
Manuel Alcaraz is an up-and-coming actor who you may recognize from his work on Netflix’s High Heat. Alcaraz plays the role of young Hugo González Cortez, a talented ballplayer who is trying to make it to the big leagues. Though his character is young, Alcaraz brings a depth of emotion and passion to his performance that is sure to leave viewers rooting for him. Alcaraz attended Pitzer College and studied film production before he began acting professionally.
As of March 2019, Alcaraz has yet to release any films or TV shows outside of his stint as young Hugo González Cortez on High Heat, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more!
Mauricio Hénao Portrays Daniel „Dani“ Quiroga / Daniel Urzúa Luján
Mauricio Hénao is a Colombian actor who is best known for his role as Daniel „Dani Quiroga / Daniel Urzúa Luján in the Netflix series, High Heat. He has also appeared in such films as La Llorona and La Soga. Hénao was born in Medellín, Colombia and studied acting at the Teatro Libre de Bogotá. As an aspiring actor, he received his first break when he starred in a popular Columbian soap opera called Pura Sangre (Pure Blood).
In recent years, he has been making headlines because of his popular portrayal of Daniel Quiroga on the hit Netflix series, High Heat.
He currently resides in Miami with his wife and daughter.
Polo Morín Portrays Julián
Polo Morín stars as Julián, a former professional soccer player who is now a successful sports agent. After meeting Tina (Carmen), his wife-to-be, at a game that he was coaching for his team, he returns to coach them again and starts to fall for her.
