Antonio Aakeel and Arshia Sulaiman star as Haroun, a teenage boy obsessed with his own mortality, who invites Franc Ashman (played by Percelle Ascott) home with him and his mum -despite not having ever met her before. What they find at Haroun’s house is stranger than they could have imagined…
Is it worth watching if you like horror movies?
I Came By on Netflix offers a more human-like representation of death than we typically see in horror movies. For me, it had more of an impact on me than most horror films because it engaged me intellectually instead of making my heart race with adrenaline. It’s not for everyone but if you’re into arthouse or slow paced stories that make you think, this one is worth watching.
If you’re looking for something entertaining to watch this weekend and don’t mind gore, I Came By on Netflix may be up your alley. As long as you don’t mind being creeped out from time to time and are interested in complex storytelling that doesn’t spoon feed its audience like many other movies do nowadays, give this one a try!
If you’re an adult, can you still enjoy it?
I am in my twenties and have been unable to find any reviews on this film. It sounds good but will it be too childish for me? The film follows the story of Michael, who suffers from vivid and violent nightmares that affect his life. He wakes up from one such nightmare, he discovers a phone with footage of him murdering a young girl. Alicia Ambrose-Bayly of TV Guide said Overall, I Came Here From Another World makes for an enchanting watch. She really enjoyed it!
Why do we think from different perspectives while watching movies?
We are more capable of empathizing with a protagonist if we understand that character’s experience, motivations, and needs. However, it’s not always easy to fully empathize with a person in just one scene or in an entire film. Movies often show us different perspectives of events and provide us with insights into characters’ emotional states. When directors use shots with tight close-ups and reflect on their protagonist’s eye line, they create intimacy between the audience and characters.
The director’s point of view while making the movie.
Babak Anvari made a captivating and bizarre film about identity and memory. This can be seen through a myriad of stylistic flourishes that the director employs throughout. For example, many scenes in this film are presented to audiences from Amir’s point of view, one being an absolutely iconic scene where Amir imagines Nadereh as if she was still alive with him. The juxtaposition between the lively past Amir had with his wife, contrasted against the bleak present day he has without her creates a sense of sadness and regret for what could have been.
In another instance, there is a sequence where Dr Farshid explains to Amir how it may not have been Alzheimer’s Disease that caused Nadereh’s death but rather cholera; an illness she contracted because she went into shock due to witnessing death for the first time when she was 15 years old.
What happens to Toby in I Came By?
In short, Toby struggles with keeping up with life, and when he finally thinks he has everything in order, bad luck just drags him back down.
Things get worse for Toby when his gambling addiction starts to show more in the way of consequences. He gets charged with credit card fraud and bail-jumping after being caught red-handed at a casino – one of many offenses committed in an attempt to keep afloat financially.

Does Hulu have good movies?
Hulu has movies. While it doesn’t have as many options as Netflix, it does have a decent number of movies that you can watch. Hulu also offers TV shows and other types of media, so if movies aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other things to watch on Hulu. Another perk for Hulu is that you don’t need an account to view some content. With Netflix, in order to use their streaming service, you need to create an account with them. If you’re trying to decide between Hulu or Netflix, be sure to check out both sites before making your decision!
Who plays Ravenclaw ghost?
The film was released in the UK on 8 March 2018 and stars Sennia Nanua as Rafi, who comes to live with her uncle Nader and his young daughter Dorsa. The odd trio form a powerful bond in what should be a happy home. But when we get to know more about Nader’s profession and shady background, we realise that this new family of three are not safe either. They are constantly watched and photographed, while threats – both veiled and open – lurk around every corner. Events come to a head when Rafi discovers she is pregnant, leading Nader to kidnap Dorsa and hold her for ransom. Ravenclaw ghost appears in the end at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as one of the four heads guarding Slytherin’s locket Horcrux (see Harry Potter).
