Introduction

Zulmira is the deuteragonist of the series. She is a young girl who was born in the town of Stain’d-by-the-Sea and raised by a family of chimney sweeps. She tells people that she is an orphan, even though her family has spent years searching for her. Though she started her career as a chimney sweep, she dreams of becoming a reporter for The Daily Punctilio. She has a crush on Lemony Snicket, but other than that, she lacks romance in her life. As the series progresses, she is forced to confront issues of identity and self confidence when it turns out that she comes from a very wealthy family and stands to inherit its entire fortune. She also displays insecurity about herself when people tell her how pretty she is and begins to wear more elaborate makeup so they will continue telling her these things. Zulmira has acrophobia, which means that she is afraid of heights (especially heights above three feet). She likes the taste of tuna fish but does not like the taste of dwek fish unless it is seasoned properly with salt and pepper (or sometimes jalapeno peppers). Zulmira is a young girl who was born in the town of Stain’d-by-the-Sea and raised by a family of chimney sweeps. Her father, the chief sweep of their village, took pride in his work; he was proud to be able to provide for his wife and two children.

When Zulmira was only four years old, however, her mother fell ill with a mysterious illness that robbed her of her strength and vitality until she died after giving birth to Zulmira’s younger brother. The loss devastated both parents: they mourned their daughter’s death together, but then each found themselves alone again—the first time since their marriage that they had slept apart.

Zulmira grew up without knowing how to care for herself or how she should behave as an adult woman around other people; instead she had only one thing left behind from her mother: an old book entitled “The Way Of A Woman”. This book contained stories about famous women who had made great contributions to society through their hard work and determination even when faced with great opposition from those around them – just like Zulmira’s mother did during her short life! It also contained some advice on how women could use their abilities effectively in order not just survive but thrive during difficult times like these too ― just like what happened here today.”

She tells people that she is an orphan.

“`Zulmira’s excuse for telling people that she is an orphan is because she wants to be a reporter, and reporters can’t identify themselves as having parents. However, this excuse doesn’t make sense for two reasons:

  • She could just say that she was homeless or grew up in foster homes instead of being an orphan.
  • If Zulmira had told people about her family when she was growing up, then maybe her mother wouldn’t have ended up being tortured by the government and killed by their soldiers at some point.”

She likes the taste of tuna fish but does not like the taste of dwek fish.

“I like the taste of tuna fish, but I don’t like the taste of dwek fish,” Zulmira said. “I have an allergy to tuna fish so I have to be very careful about what I eat. My parents told me that if I ever eat anything with a dwek in it, then that could kill me! So from now on my mother will only buy food for me without any dweks in them at all. Even if there was a little bit on top accidentally then she would scrape it off because she does not want me getting sick or anything bad happening to me ever again.”

Zulmira continued: “My favorite meal is pasta with tomato sauce and cheese — and sometimes when we go out together as a family we’ll go out together as a family

Olive’s character is somewhat shallow and predictable, but she ultimately grows as a person throughout the series. She starts off as an annoying, bossy know-it-all who only cares about winning the Grand Prize and being the most popular girl in school. However, when she meets up with Klaus (and later Violet) again after years apart, we see that she has become more compassionate and sympathetic to others’ feelings—especially those of her two best friends Klaus and Carmelita Spats.

Conclusion

Olive Snicket is a character who develops from a shallow, materialistic girl into a more confident, thoughtful young woman. At the start of the series, Olive has no idea what she wants out of life, and her relationship with Lemony Snicket seems to be based entirely on his social status as an author. However, by the end of the series, Olive has gained self confidence and learned to value herself as an individual without depending on others for validation or support. We think this is one of Ms. Dwek’s best performances to date!
