Season 1 – Random Tidbits About Hazel

If you’ve seen any behind-the-scenes content for The Umbrella Academy, then you already know how funny Cameron Britton is in real life. He’s truly exceptional as Hazel – but did you know he played Bobby on American Crime Story: Assassination of Gianni Versace? His energy seems to make everything he does that much better! He was also a guest star on Barry (as a Russian mobster) – check him out if you haven’t already! It’s not just about his acting ability; it’s about his charisma. So, why is Cha-Cha my favorite character? Easily because I relate to him; however, unlike Cha-Cha, I don’t have anger issues.

Did Cameron Britton win an Emmy?

Yes! Britton was named best guest actor in a drama series for his role as Hazel. In season 2, an elderly Hazel appears to Five in 1963. His memories had been changed after Cha-Cha failed to kill him. He served as a force of good in Five’s life; he helped Five escape from an orphanage where an oppressive administrator led children through rigorous training to hone their abilities. He fell ill but healed when Five attempted to resuscitate him with his healing touch, which caused both of them to receive scars across their bodies similar to those on Five’s original timeline father, Bartholomew Hargreeves/Number One.
