A new interpretation of the classic Spider-Man story, Spider-Man: No Way Home, will bring one of Spidey’s biggest baddies to life in the form of Norman Osborn / Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe). He’s the CEO of Oscorp from an alternate reality where he tested an unstable strength enhancer on himself. Spider-Man: No Way Home has Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin

The Good

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to keep things interesting by putting some new faces in the mix and giving them intriguing roles. The casting of Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin is an inspired choice, while actress Sally Field’s role and her relationship with Peter’s Aunt May both stand out.

The Bad

Spider-Man: No Way Home is better in concept than in execution. The CGI of both Spiderman and his adversary, Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, was subpar. It was distracting how often they used it throughout. This made special effects look cheesy rather than impressive like they were intended to be. The story itself fell flat as well.

The Ugly

He’s not exactly what we expected, but there is no question that Willem Dafoe looked very realistic in Spider-Man: No More Home. On top of being a great actor, who will be able to make us believe that he is indeed both Norman Osborn and The Green Goblin, he’s also an Academy Award winning actor who has starred in some of Hollywood’s most memorable films.

Was Willem Dafoe Deaged in No Way Home?

In Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, actor Willem Dafoe appears as Norman Osborn. Many marvel fans have been wondering how they deaged him. For example, in Amazing Spider-Man 2, he appears to be in his 50s or 60s (he looks very elderly and overweight). In No Way Home however, he seems to be back to his prime. So how did they do it? Well actually… no they didn’t deage him at all!

This is a great addition to Sony’s Spider-verse since he’s an iconic character in Marvel Comics lore. However, fans were wondering if it was actually Willem Dafoe or if it was CGI? Will Willem Dafoe play Green Goblin after No Way Home?

After watching a recent trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which stars J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, I had a lot of questions about who will play who in Spider-Man’s new cinematic universe. The Spider-Man franchise is one of my favorites, so I thought it would be fun to speculate on how actors from other franchises might fit into Spider-Man: No Way Home’s cast. The first actor that caught my eye was Willem Dafoe, who played Norman Osborn / Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man trilogy. In fact, he was such an amazing villain that he stole every scene he was in!
