Crystal Yu is an actress and dancer. She was born in Taiwan, but moved to Toronto when she was five years old. In 2012, Yu graduated from York University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She then studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before returning to Canada for a Master of Fine Arts degree from Queen’s University. Her first notable role came as Missy’s assistant in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor back in 2013.
