Who is Ginger Gonzaga?
Before she gained fame for playing the witty, soulful, chaotic She-Hulk on The Attorney at Law, Ginger Gonzaga was an up-and-coming actress with a string of television roles to her name. And before that, she was a scrappy young girl growing up in Woodland Hills, CA. Ginger Gonzaga is also an Emmy award winning Actress (2017) which gives her a unique understanding of character complexity. I think Nikki will be fun because we’ll get to see what it’s like for someone who might not know the intricacies of law but who has her own strength. Gonzaga cites inspirations such as actor Jennifer Lopez, comedian Eddie Murphy, singer Shakira and dancer Michael Jackson. I’m just grateful that I’ve been able to do something I love, she says.
About Her Role Nikki Ramos
Ginger Gonzaga portrays Nikki Ramos, one of the central characters in IRL. She’s a paralegal who works with Ally at her law firm. Ally sees her as a best friend and confidant to talk about her life, relationships, and accomplishments. When Ally can’t seem to let loose and color outside the lines, she turns to Ramos for reassurance that there is life outside of work – something she needs to hear after having just moved into her new home in Old Town Pasadena.

In season three, we first see Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos in the two-part premiere. Nikkie’s introduction to us is swift – she saves the day by stopping a criminal before he can murder Tatiana Maslany’s character Alison. From the get-go, Maslany makes it clear that Walter looks up to her. The next time we see Nikkie is when she comes by Mavis and Anita’s (Maura Tierney) apartment with wine to celebrate their marriage.

Ginger Gonzaga has been best friends with Tatiana Maslany since she was 16. The two women met in 2007, when Gonzaga played Maslany’s high school sweetheart in the ABC Family movie Picture This. Shortly thereafter, the two began an email correspondence that turned into a friendship. Nowadays, Gonzaga stars as Aria’s best friend (and maybe something more?) Ella Montgomery on Freeform’s hit show Pretty Little Liars.
