her look was designed by a costume designer and her mannerisms modeled after a young star that most of us know. What about Halloween?
This summer, Disney Channel announced that they are putting a sequel to their cult classic film Hocus Pocus into production. While the movie came out in 1993, many fans have been excited by its return. Some may recall that at one point, there was talk of a sequel but it fell through; however, it looks like now is finally time for everyone’s favorite Halloween-themed sisters to be resurrected.

This sequel offers more about her life and background, such as why she lives alone and not with her parents, why she moved from LA to New York, how does she know Max Dennison and his parents, how did she get involved in the art of magic (due to becoming friends with Sophie), what is her relationship with Max’s little sister Dani? She becomes a model student that forces herself into getting perfect grades so that she could have a chance at winning a scholarship. The real story behind why Lilia Buckingham become Cassie was never mentioned in production. It remains unknown if there would be any reason for whomever is chosen for castings are part of an elaborate marketing ploy on Disney Channel’s behalf or who made an official announcement regarding casting choices.
Hocus Pocus 2 – How does it compare with the original?
That’s a great question, but I’m not sure how we’re going to find out because apparently there was a fire that destroyed most of our memories. All we can really do is go with what we know. If you were like me and didn’t really remember much about Hocus Pocus when it first came out (other than it starred Sarah Jessica Parker), I highly recommend that you go back and watch it now that there is another one coming out. With only 1 day left until Halloween, I wasn’t able to watch Hocus Pocus in its entirety, but my research showed me some good clips from later scenes and comparisons between scenes from both movies as well as some interesting facts about them.
Where will the next 20 years take us?
The most profound thing about Hocus Pocus for me was its pro-feminist message. I think those messages are still relevant today. While it’s easy to get wrapped up in trying to make life great, we also need to consider what kind of world we’ll be passing onto our children and their children’s children. The next 20 years will bring us new technologies like self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, and genetic engineering. We’re likely moving into a future that may not involve traditional jobs or the family as we know it today — how do we prepare? This is probably a conversation worth having, at least as far as encouraging (and maintaining) an open mind toward possible futures.
