The Costumes
The costume department for House of the Dragon had their work cut out for them. Not only did they have to design costumes for a whole new world, but they also had to make sure that each character looked unique. They did an amazing job and Emma D’Arcy looked stunning as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Her dress was simple, yet elegant and it really brought out her features. The costume department definitely deserves a round of applause! Especially because of how well all the characters were dressed. There was no doubt that every character looked different and still stood out as a main figure in the story.

When I was younger, I always wanted to be an actor. I would put on little shows for my family, and I was always the first one to volunteer for school plays. So, when I heard that there was an open casting call for a Hobbit film, I knew that I had to try out. It took me two hours just to get through the line, but it was worth it. I walked into the audition room and felt so much excitement! There were two people reading lines with me: another girl who looked like she might have been my age, and someone much older who had his back turned towards me. The old man suddenly said No and then left before he ever even saw me face-to-face.

My favorite part was definitely getting to work with the amazing cast and crew. They are all such hardworking, kind people who really know how to make you feel at home on set. I’ve never been so inspired by people before- it really changed my life!
